Our 2nd graders have accomplished research papers in Informational Reading and Writing Units. Each of us planed the research by selecting a fascinating topic. Then we began to read nonfiction books to gather useful information. We have learned how to take notes by jotting down key words. After that, we organized key words into different headings, and turned them into their own sentences. Next, we added text features including diagram, caption, table of content, glossary, etc. to our drafts. Last but not least, we edited, revised and finally published our research papers.

二年级小朋友在说明文阅读写作单元完成了我们的研究。我们每个人都选择了自己很感兴趣的研究主题，开始计划我们的写作。然后，我们一边阅读非小说，一边收集信息。我们学会了用关键词来记笔记。接着，我们把笔记组织在不同的小标题下，并把关键词变成了自己的句子。再来，我们把文学特征，例如图解、说明文字、目录和字汇表等加入草稿。最后，我们编辑修改并发布了我们的研究完稿。
